20/10/2019 - Elections to the National Executive

electionsvotesheetIn line with relevant Statute law elections are due for our National Executive (three places) and the positions of President and General Secretary.

Any member wishing to stand for the position of General Secretary or President should send a signed statement as follows "I consent to nomination as a candidate for election to the Executive (or position of General Secretary or President if applicable) of the Solidarity Trade Union".

You should also send a statement as follows: "We the undersigned nominate (name) as a candidate for election to the Executive (or position of General Secretary or President if applicable) of the Solidarity Trade Union."

This statement must be signed by a Proposer and Seconder (paid-up Union members).

Any candidate in the election has the right to a 150 word statement to explain their platform.

You should send the text of this statement along with your nomination statements.

You may also send a photograph for reproduction alongside the statement.

Close of nominations is the 3rd of November, 2019.

You must submit your consent to nomination, nomination papers and 150-word statement (and picture if you choose) to Solidarity, Room 407, 12 South Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1DD (we strongly recommend these are sent Recorded or Special Delivery).
